The disconcerting sad story of the MH 17 shooting down of MH 17 greatly affected Margriet Smulders. The day after the MH 17 disaster, Schiphol called Margriet Smulders to ask if she wanted to think about a memorial. The helpless feeling and grief can be softened with flowers. These do not ask who owns the land they live on. They just grow toward the light.
