In 2014 an old university friend Katrien crossed my path again. She had stopped working as a psychologist after 25 years and had started an ecological flower garden. She provided me with very special papavers. The papaver or poppy has a short life span. When in Cardiff in 2014, we saw them everywhere to remember the soldiers of WWI just 100 years before.
