I started my flower series after seeing an exhibition of Dutch still lifes at the Rijksmuseum in 1999. During the pandemic, I’ve been through a difficult period of intense reflection and writing. I started writing, painting and sketching on proofs and developed a whole new way of working. I discovered old prints who wanted to come out of the stock.

Photography means “writing with light” in Greek. I want to bring stories to light and spread light.
For this diptych, I poured diluted white ink over two Waterfall prints and pressed them together. The liquid left organic traces, like underground mushroom networks.
