In 1999 I began my magical journey with flowers on a mirror with more and more splashing water.
These two works with tulips where made as a commission for the Dutch Embassy to the UN in Geneva. My first commission with tulips was for the Dutch Embbassy in Turkey. Our Ministery of Foreign Affairs asked me to make a work of 11 meters wide. Evolving my flower career more and more history came out about the Dutch colonial times and our Golden Age turned out to be less golden. In diplomacy we need to talk about a more equal and diverse system. How do we honour our cultural differences?
